Become a CARDIOLATES® Instructor!

Earn 1.2 NASM credits

Learn the technique and choreography of CARDIOLATES®, as well as the health benefits of rebounding that will help you educate and promote rebounding to your clients. In the course, you will learn the basic formats for CARDIOLATES® group classes, CARDIOLATES® circuit training and CARDIOLATES® conditioning programs. For CARDIOLATES® group classes, protocol for beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels will be taught, as well as the appropriate beats per minute to look for when you are selecting music, and the appropriate beats per minute for each section of choreography. You will also learn:

How to incorporate CARDIOLATES® as part of a circuit training regime in privates or semi-privates.
How to teach your clients CARDIOLATES® conditioning: a 5-20 minute program that you can do with them or they can do on their own before or after their workouts.
In addition, the health benefits of rebounding.

Most importantly, we will cover how to monitor your clients’ exertion level and heart rate, as well as the protocol for clients with special needs and conditions. Finally, we will cover the CARDIOLATES® stretching sequence which has proven effective in balancing muscle groups after the workout to aid in injury prevention and enhance an overall feeling of well-being. The CARDIOLATES® Course:
  • With Pilates mat certification: 12 hours

BOSU® Workshop

Add a new dimension to your workout and challenge your core stability with the BOSU® Balance Trainer. BOSU is an acronym for “both sides up”. The BOSU is flat on one side and domed on the other which is an ideal tool for reinforcing balance. The BOSU integrates core training, functional sports training and balance training.


Stability Ball Workshop

Add variety, challenge and fun to your workouts with exercises on the Stability Ball. Using the stability ball helps clients engage their deep abdominal muscles to help strengthen the core and enhance overall core stability. “Old” mat exercises can be revived on the ball and the many new exercises target muscles not normally focused on in a typical mat class.

Both workshops will cover exercises for beginner through advanced clients. Attention will be given to proper set up, execution and cueing so that you will finish this 2-4 hour workshop with all the tools necessary to start using the stability ball and BOSU more in your studio. Even those familiar with the two will learn new exercises and new ways to challenge your clients.


Pregnancy Workshop

Did you know your client does not have to stop her pilates sessions when she becomes pregnant? Did you know that if she continues her pilates sessions throughout her pregnancy, she will most likely bounce back more quickly and find it easier to return to her pre-pregnancy fitness level?

In this workshop, we will first cover the contraindications for all stages of a woman’s pregnancy in detail. Next, we will discuss in depth the many different ways to modify exercises for your client as her body changes throughout pregnancy. Exercises from the mat and mat-based repertoire and from all of the equipment (reformer, chair, Cadillac, spine supporter and barrels) will be covered. We will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to program for your client safely to help her maintain strength, flexibility and peace of mind throughout her pregnancy and beyond.

From Grand Central Terminal:

  • Exit the South side of Grand Central

Appointments may be scheduled on the hour throughout the day with the last appointment ending at the time we close. We take appointments on the quarter hour after 5PM Monday through Thursday.

We do take instructor requests although we cannot guarantee you will be with the same instructor each time. To ensure that you get the same high quality work out each time, our instructors keep detailed records of each client in the client's file.
